As promised, here are some pictures of my (sort of) new car. In keeping with showing things NOT in the best possible light, I didn’t wash it just for you people. You should feel special.

Guess where I am for the picture where I am in the photo. :)

As I was driving on the highway on my way to work this morning, I heard a loud BANG. I figured it was juts a rock or something that hit the bumper that caused the loud sound. After I took a look however, I found a big ass metal washer stuck between the bumper and the grill of the Corolla.

So lucky for me, it didn’t bounce higher off the road and go through my windsheild, which it surely would have.

Unlucky for Jaime, because there’s a fair sized scratch on the bumper that traces the path the washer took as it lodged itself in between the bumper and the grill.

Oh well, c’est la vie.

EDIT: Apparently Daddy took some wax and buffed out the scratch. It really isin’t that bad now. The remaining damange looks thus:

So since I’m been both busy and lazy, its time to put an update or two or 10.

Here goes:

1. Made my first car payment 2 nights ago. First car, what can I say, easy decision really, didn’t have to go out and look or anything, because I’m taking over the payments from my parents, but ownership goes to me. Its a 2002? VW Jetta 1.8 Turbo. Some of you have seen it I’m sure, and I’ll post some pics of it in the future. People usually take photos of their cars in the best light possible, that’s boring…so I’m going to inspect the car throughly and look for every thing that’s damaged to make things interesting. For now I’m finding ways of squandering money with thoughts of things to go with my car such as iPod Mini’s and possibly an FM adapter for said iPod Mini and perhaps even an Aux-in connector for said iPod Mini. After I spent almost 200$ last weekend, I’ll need to spend lightly for the next couple of weeks before I should give it any more thought. I need to excercise restraint now having more disposable income then I’ve ever had…

2. Its grossly cute and s revoltingly sweet. It’s daily kitten.

3. Bought a new bed, I never knew how expensive they were until I actually went and looked. But as Daddy put it, its for 10 years or so, so even a 1000$ bed isin’t really that much in the long run. I agreed with that and bought last year’s top of the line matress discounted. Its non flip, has a pillow top, silk lining under pillow top to keep bed bugs away, 850 coil count and one of those memory foam pillows to boot.

4. I’ve kept myself occupied with BF2 since I couldn’t resist anymore and bought the damn game… sigh

5. Part of that 200$ weekend, I bought roses, they’re pretty.

6. Rant: Ummm, wtf? Shot a guy to death because he was suspicous? Sorry London, the terrorists have already won and you handed it to them with 5 rounds to the skull. Am I the only one concerned by the possibilities of this? Its very easy to claim this “suspect” was up to no good WHEN THE GUY IS DEAD AS A DOORKNOB SO HE CAN’T DEFEND HIMSELF. I know I sound paranoid, but seriously, how much do you trust your government? The guy is dead, they could have framed him for any bloody thing they wanted. If this had happened in the US, I highly doubt they would have even admitted they shot the wrong guy.

7. Rant x2: I like it when a smart person tells the US Administration what a bunch of asshats they are.

But [Coughenor] pointed out that all proceedings took place “in the sunlight of a public trial” without the indefinite detention of Mr. Ressam, subjecting him to a secret tribunal or denying him the right to a lawyer — procedures U.S. authorities regularly employed against suspected terrorists after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

“Unfortunately, some believe that the tragedy of Sept. 11 renders our Constitution obsolete. If that view is allowed to prevail, the terrorists will have won,” Judge Coughenor declared, his voice heavy with emotion.

8. I’m search result #11 on Google for the query “Danny Ng”. This pleases me. :)

9. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex OST 3 is very good.

10. Jaime is going to buy the old Corolla off of my parents. I’m worried.

I just thought this needed to be said: This will surely be used to justify the war on terror and Britain’s involvement in Iraq, when in reality the war on terror could never have prevented this and this happened exactly because of Britain’s involvement in Iraq.

I use to respect Blair, but his lap dogging it for Bush got Britain into this. Even when the people voiced their disapproval, Blair sent the troops; just to get in bed with the US. It’s a crying shame he acted so stupidly. The British are tough though, they’ll prevail. Condolences.

Man am I ever glad I live in Canada.
