I just thought this was a telling picture. Damn flash on the camera loves to make the background totally dark. Its almost good enough to be one of those demotivational posters.

Special Friday aft bonus: Michelle with Jaime’s still unnamed kitty

Almost forgot: Happy Birthday Vikki!

So my friend just said yes to her man.

How can you read that and not want to throw up. Seriously, WHO DOES THAT? It’s so romantic it makes me want to punch him in the face.

LOL, just joking Jason. Congrats to the both of you Jason and Christine. I wish I could congradulate you more but I’m still kinda in shock here :).

I imagine this will what the happy couple will look like on their wedding day.

I lost, though not how you think. We were all so tired that Tony and I decided the game in a match of rock paper and scissors. This pic is late in the game and I was yellow, and just ended my turn, red is going to cash in his cards for for 55 armies, so I had a slight chance of winning because if I survived, I would have cashed in my cards and wiped him out.

If you wanna see more of Jaime’s cat, view the rest of the album

Its yet to be declawed though, and it loves to pounce on things you dangle infront of it, miss, then some how land on a leg with claws out and all…

Due to popular demand, another pic of my desk, you can really see how little privacy the office has with this open concept business.

If you like to game, I defintely recommend Republic Commando, really well executed game, simple interface, awesome soundtrack and the smartest AI I’ve seen in any game so far. Give it a try if you feel like killing some time or want to see some pre-Episode 3 story.

Here I am at work if you were ever wondering what I look like at work or didn’t believe I work at all. :)

By the way, if you haven’t noticed, you can select a different theme of the page by clicking on one of the themes link on the right side. Let me know which one you like the best. :)

So this was my first week of work, nothing spectacular happened. I’m surprised how quickly I slipped back into my role. The “same-old-shit” feeling came back on the 2nd day, not that it’s a bad thing really; and I still have tons to learn. I’m caught up on all the changes since I left so it feels like I didn’t even leave. (For those of you who don’t know, I cooped there twice already.)

I’ll leave you with something I found and still find hillarious, but I laugh at strange things. I’m sure some of you won’t get it, heh.

So today was my first day of work, my first full time job and I’ve been thinking of it as the beginning of the end of sorts. It could be thought of that, but judging from the different interepretations of my present situtation by the coworkers I talked to today, it’s all in the attitude. So I will leave it as just that; a beginning.

Alot of little things happened last few days:

- Got my passport
- Got my new renewed license
- Got a couple of pair of jeans
- Got my tax refund
- Saw this guy I haven’t seen in ages, there’s this guy in Brampton, he wears big dark black glasses, the ones that wrap around the side as well, he wears them at all hours of the day so one assumes he is sensitive to light. This guy just walks every where, he just ‘walks’ everywhere. You can see him all over the place, always walking and always with the big black glasses. I’ve talked to him before on the off time I was walking somewhere and there was a scene with a few cop cars nearby and we just talked about the scene with all the cop cars. I never did get his name that time but he seemed like an okay fellow. He wasn’t anti social or anything. He just walks everywhere.

So I bought that new hard drive finally. I’ve wanted to buy it for a while now. I wanted it so I can mess around with Linux and here I am typing this from Ubuntu. I chose Ubuntu because I’ve heard a lot of talk about it recently and a friend who just switched to it 2 weeks ago recommended it. The install wasn’t particularly difficult, learned some new things.

Dual boot didn’t work at first tho, I bought a new HD to mess with Linux to protect my windows HD so it doesn’t get corrupted. GRUB, the boot utility didn’t start up windows, but if I told the BIOS to start up with my windows hard drive, it would boot into xp fine, a big “phew”. I got really lucky tho, I messed around with gaim, the *nix equivalent to a multi-protocol messenger like Miranda, I logged into some irc channels that I am usually at, and proclaimed “so this is irc on gaim”. Some helpful fellow responds by asking me if i was running gaim on windows or Linux, to which I replied “Linux, this is my first distro”, and lo and behold, he managed to help me get GRUB to start up my xp properly. I was thinking fixing this would take all day but in his own words, he was the “GRUB master”. Thanks a lot to benanne, my dual boot works perfectly now.

So far so good in Linux land! :) … still don’t have sound tho LOL

EDIT: w00t w00t, sound works now, had to compile some sound drivers, kinda lame you still need to compile stuff in order for things to work but at least I have sound now :D
