I was pretty tired of my info always being out in the open in the WHOIS databases because of this registered domain, so I decided to switch to a domain register that provides anonymous WHOIS info. Of course, stupid me, while I was doing the domain transfer, I totally forgot to look for the anonymous WHOIS service checkbox, so all I have now is a domain address mid-transfer, to be fair, I really didn’t see an option during the process to select the service. Hopefully they will let me add the service on later, and I get this sorted out sooner rather than later.

Dianne doesn’t hate me after all! She’s a doll, just look at how kind, caring and giving of notes from missed classes she is:

As an added bonus, here is Mike trying to act cool:

So I went to bubble tea with Jaime and Matt. An F1 race was on TV and Matt had openly asked how come the race looked like a video game while he watched the on car camera view, to which I responded with the not so obvious: “That’s because video games are that good these days”. He had an “Oh yeah” moment and we both had a laugh and realized the degree of truth in that statement. It struck me then that Matt’s question was a testiment and reminder to how far games have come these days. I thought that was pretty cool.

And on gripes…

So the crappy Nortel Phone lab is in a constant state of disrepair and my soft eng group member Kevin is consistantly disappointed at the state of the facility and rightly so. In fact, it bothered him so much that he wrote a gripe and submitted it to the faculty responsible for the lab, and since it is a formal complaint, he gets email communicae regularly. He forwarded one of these emails to me and I gave it a skim, chuckling at the Kevin’s underlying bitterness. I got to the part where Kevn mentions a specific incident that happend recently and it made me realize something: I got use to how crappy the lab is. I use to bitch and moan about the crappy lab all the time but no more. This is really sad because if no one whined about it, nothing would ever get done on the problem. So I salute Kevin for submitting his gripe on behalf of all of the soft eng students.

So now with my renewed sense of whining, I shall rant on the nasty state of the bathrooms in the Math building. First off: What the fuck is wrong with you people that you feel it unnessecary to flush the god damned urinal? After encountering 2 of 3 urinals unflushed and filled with urine, I used the “clean” one and proceeded to flush ALL of the urinals. Secondly: What the fuck is wrong with you people that you feel it unnessecary to flush the god damned urinal? I came back to the bathroom a couple of hours later and what do I see? All 3 of the urinals were unflushed and filled with urine. Do these people whom are too lazy to flush like going into stinky bathrooms? Do these people flush their own toilets when they finish using it home?

Next time you’re taking a piss beside someone and you notice they leave without flushing, go after them and pee all over them, tell em Danny sent you.

So I have a sex test on Thursday and to my surprise, my System Performance assignment is also due Thursday, son of a bitch. All this time I thought it was due Tuesday like the previous assignments, so I am going to have to haul ass to finish that as well as study for the test. To top it off, the Soft Eng deadline is Monday, and my group is suppose to meet Sunday which at least gives me Thursday night, Friday and Saturday to finish everything but now the meeting has been moved to Saturday aft…

So screwed in so many ways…which leads me to the tour week here at U Waterloo, all these naive kids not knowing the pain and suffering they will experience here all the while being fed the coop propaganda makes me want to hurl. I make it a point to shake my head at them every time I walk by.

Anyway here is a random photo:
The sweet case for my Canon SD200

Opera just pulls off everything better, no matter how hard I try to make Firefox have the same level of functionality as Opera, it just doesn’t work as well. For instance, the zoom function: zooming works so incredibly well in Opera, increasing the zoom actually renders the entire page larger, text AND images, zooming on Firefox only increases the size of the text making it disproportional to the images. For me, this is very important because I like to sit far away from the screen and zooming in on the page makes things a lot easier to read.

So according to this, Canada has given up some of its sovereignty by not participating in the missile defense plan.

[U.S. Ambassador Paul] Cellucci said the U.S. believes the Martin government has now given up some of Canada’s sovereignty by turning its back on joining the missile defence plan.

One has to think hard to understand what the fuck he is talking about, because last I recall, sovereignty is the rule of oneself as an independent nation. Baring any sort of argument on the role of the Queen and the Governor General, I firmly believe it to be true that Canada is a sovereign nation. Deciding to not participate in something as a nation seems like a pretty sovereign act to me.

After looking up the definition, one of the variants shed some light: n 1: government free from external control

I found a good rant on violence and video games, clicky.

My favorite part:

Arguing that there is a link between video games and violence is the hysterical version of saying that the arts move us. Yes, thank god, they do.
